Ceci n’est pas une exposition
Ceci n’est pas une exposition presents specially selected artworks for direct purchase that were displayed on exhibitions in our country and around the world during the Covid-19 pandemic. The concept was developed in order to emphasize the indomitable spirit of art and the positivism of artists in difficult times.
The title was not chosen by chance. It is a reference to the art piece ” The Treachery of Images” (in French: La trahison des images), by the Belgian surrealist artist René Magritte, from 1928-1929.
